– Rep. Greg Rothman (R-Cumberland) today announced that the Borough of Camp Hill has been awarded $28,667 in Boating Facility Grant funding by the Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission (PFBC) for improvements to their Creek Road kayak launch along the Conodoguinet Creek.
“I was happy to learn that Camp Hill Borough will be able to make much-needed safety and access improvements to the kayak launch along the Conodoguinet Creek,” said Rothman. “This is a popular launch for local residents and area boating enthusiasts, and our community is thankful to the PFBC for hearing the borough’s concerns.”
Camp Hill Borough will be designing and constructing a designated launch ramp to ensure a safer access point. In addition, they plan on installing two paved ADA accessible parking spaces, a concrete canoe/kayak launch ramp and a paved ADA accessible walking trail from the parking lot to the launch ramp.
The borough will also install rip rap along both sides of the launch ramp to eliminate erosion.
Additional funding for the project will be covered by the borough, and from a donation of $5,000 from the Lion Foundation.
