HARRISBURG - Rep. Greg Rothman (R-Cumberland) announced today that Camp Hill Borough will receive a grant from the Multimodal Transportation Fund. Camp Hill Borough has been awarded $700,000 for pedestrian safety and streetscape improvements along Market Street in Cumberland County.
“This grant is a win for the local economy of Camp Hill Borough and I look forward to seeing our community businesses benefit from these projects,” said Rothman. “I applaud the Commonwealth Financing Authority for helping the Camp Hill community create the infrastructure necessary for economic development and job growth in the area.”
Camp Hill Borough is planning to revitalize Market Street, from 15th Street to 26th Street, to create a safer, more engaging, more attractive, and inviting downtown business corridor.
The Camp Hill project includes retiming traffic signals, pedestrian bump outs, additional crosswalks, redesign and enhance existing crosswalks, new pedestrian scale lighting, sidewalk repairs, ADA compliant curbing, and sharrows.
