Hampden Township to Receive State Grant for Recycling

HARRISBURG – Rep. Greg Rothman (R-Cumberland) announced today that Hampden Township will receive a grant of $240,118 from the Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) for their leaf collection program.

“I applaud the municipality for its efforts, as well as its residents for making recycling a way of life and setting an example as good stewards of resources,” said Rothman. “I am pleased to see Hampden Township and its residents will be benefiting from the funds.”

The grant is in addition to funds DEP allocates to municipalities to establish and maintain recycling programs.

The Recycling Program Development and Implementation Grants were established under Act 101 of 1988.
